I was in two minds about whether or not I would write about the gifts I received for Christmas this year out of worry I’d be accused of “bragging”, however, I love reading other blogger’s posts, and so I wanted to write one of my own.
If this isn’t your kind of post, then that’s absolutely fine and no one is forcing you to read it.
Now, I do have a fairly large family, and so I automatically end up with a fair amount of gifts. For that reason, I’m not going to list every individual gift I received, and I will be piling some together under similar “categories” or else we’d be here a while with the amount of bath products I was given!
One of my uncles and my sister both gave me Amazon vouchers, adding up to £35. Despite this being quite a “standard” gift in some people’s opinions, I’m actually so glad they’re Amazon vouchers as opposed to store-specific vouchers as there’s much more freedom with what I can buy! I already have a few things in mind, too.
Instax Camera and Accessories
My lovely, lovely boyfriend bought me the Instax SQ6 Taylor Swift edition camera, as he and I always have a fairly big budget for each other’s gifts (for example, I bought him a Fossil watch this year).
As well as the camera, he bought me a case, photo album, and three packets of film! His older brother bought me an additional two packets of film, and so I’m set for a while which is fab!
I’ve wanted the Taylor Swift edition Instax for months, so I was more than excited to receive it, and I can’t wait to start filling up the photo album.
Is it even Christmas without an insane amount of bath products? Definitely not!
My mum, my Nan, and my auntie all bought me some products from The Body Shop which I am so happy with! I am absolutely in love with The Body Shop’s ranges, and I smell SO GOOD!
As well as The Body Shop, I also collected a few Jack Wills products thanks to my Jack Wills advent calendar, and a body lotion from a gift set Toby’s mum bought me.
I repeat: I smell SO GOOD!
I am so impressed with the clothes I was given this year, as usually clothes are pretty hit and miss.
My mum treated me to two lovely jumpers from Brandy Melville and some trousers from Pull&Bear, and Toby bought me a jumper from Jack Wills.
I’ve been trying to switch out some of my old clothes for a while now and replace them with brands such as Jack Wills, and the Brandy Melville jumpers are a welcomed addition!
Surprisingly, I wasn’t actually given a box of chocolates such as Celebrations or Heroes as I usually would be! I did, however, get two boxes of my all-time favourite Belgian biscuits from M&S thanks to my mum and my grandparents, some lollipops from Toby’s mum, and some Swiss chocolate truffles.
Tickets to see Rob Lowe
I can’t even begin to explain how excited I am about this, but my mum has very kindly bought me two tickets to see Rob Lowe’s “Stories I Only Tell my Friends” show in Brighton next February.
This was my main present from her, and Toby is definitely getting dragged along with me, and I am counting down the days!
Hot Chocolate Hamper
Toby is such an angel – not only did he buy me a Chilly’s coffee cup, he put together a hamper for me filled with mini gingerbread men, marshmallows, hot chocolate, and even a Gingerbread syrup so I can make my own Gingerbread hot chocolates.
I was so surprised by this gift, and it’s just so thoughtful of him. Both me and my bank account are very happy to be able to home-make my favourite seasonal drink!
Other Bits & Pieces
I was super happy to be given a ‘Friends’ Pocket Trivial Pursuit, cactus-print bedding, and some mini Pull&Bear perfumes from my mum – all of which will get good use!
My niece and nephew (technically my sister, but I’ll give them the credit) bought me a lovely wooden Orca which has made a home on my shelf, as I absolutely love Orcas and very sadly broke my glass Orca I bought as a souvenir from Vancouver.
I had such a lovely Christmas and I’m so grateful for the gifts I was given. I was also so happy giving out presents to my family as they all loved their gifts! I hope you enjoyed your Christmas, too.
What did you get for Christmas?
