Beauty: Vitamin E Skincare Range – The Body Shop
I attended a Body Shop skincare evening hosted by my Nan’s friend last month. Because it was my birthday, my mum and my nan kindly offered to treat me to some products. I opted for the Vitamin E Skincare Starter Kit, consisting of:
Vitamin E Moisture Cream, Vitamin E Cream Cleanser, Vitamin E Hydrating Toner, and the Vitamin E Night Cream.
My nan then bought me the Vitamin E Eye Cube and a facial buffer too.
I’ve been using these products since late February, and I love them! Not only are they a beautiful shade of pink which is so pleasing to look at, they smell gorgeous and are so nice on the skin.
TV Show: One Day at a Time on Netflix
I had no idea this show existed until this month, and when I found it, I watched it and watched it like there was no tomorrow.
This show is absolutely incredible, but sadly, Netflix have made the (stupid) decision to cancel it due to its “low ratings”.
Don’t let that stop you from watching though, as there are three incredible seasons to be seen, and honestly, they’re well worth the watch.
One Day at a Time is about a Cuban family living in America, and it tackles important topics such as depression, the LGBTQ+ community, addiction, immigration, mental health, and so much more – which is why I cannot believe it’s been cancelled.
Makeup: Jeffree Star’s Velour Liquid Lipstick in the shade Gemini
I haven’t always been too sure on Jeffree Star, but since watching Shane Dawson’s documentary series on Jeffree Star, I’ve found a new respect for him, and I have started watching his videos too.
I was definitely intrigued by his makeup, and since I no longer buy Kat Von D’s makeup, I needed a replacement, and so I went online and made my first purchase!
It took me forever to decide what shade I wanted, but in the end I opted for ‘Gemini’ and I couldn’t love it more. The formula is incredible – it doesn’t transfer, smudge, or rub away (even after two chicken mayo burgers, nine chicken nuggets, and large fries from McDonalds), it’s not sticky or tacky, and the colour is beautiful.
I can’t wait to get my hands on more of his shades!
Eco-Friendly: Chillys Coffee Cup
If you’ve been reading my posts for a while, you may have seen me mention Chillys before (because I talk about them a lot), and so I was super excited when they emailed me with a 50% off code to use before their re-branding in April.
Because I’m subscribed to their newsletter, I got the sale code a few days before general sale, and I just couldn’t help myself, and so I bought myself my second Chillys Coffee Cup.
My boyfriend bought me my first one for Christmas and I’m obsessed with it, but as it’s something I use everyday, I wanted to be able to switch between two to give one a break every now and then.
This time round I opted for the same size (340ml), but I chose the daisy print to match my 500ml Chillys bottle in the same print!
Chillys products are such a good alternative to single use or even reusable plastic, as they are stainless steel and last 12 hours hot and 24 hours cold, so if you haven’t yet made the switch, what are you waiting for?
Documentary: The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann
And finally, the documentary everyone has been talking about this month!
The Madeleine McCann case is one that I just can’t wrap my head around, and so when I saw this documentary was coming out, I was excited to watch it and get all the facts from it I could.
Of course, I didn’t expect anything to be solved, but I really enjoyed revisiting the case in a more informative way than just reading about it on Twitter threads and whatever other unreliable sources.
With that said, I still don’t quite know what to think about the case overall, but it’s definitely one I hope gets solved in my lifetime, or I don’t think my ghost will ever rest!
What things have you been loving this month? Let me know!
