Six months ago, my parents and I started the process of moving house, one we thought would be easy and stress-free – I suppose that was a little naive.
We were due to be moving in December time, after that, it was due to be February or March, but finally we moved in April, and it feels so good to be done!
I could write a 5,000 word blog post on the whole process; why it took us so long, what happened at each hurdle, and all the ups and downs along the way, but instead I think I’ll move on from that, ignore the negatives, and just be grateful that we’re here.
Throughout the moving process, I was definitely demotivated with my blog.
I had all these content ideas that could only be written after moving house, that I couldn’t bring myself to write anything else before moving house. Then, our internet was turned off to allow us to change it over to the new house, and so this little space was definitely neglected.
We’re still not fully up and running in the house – we’ve still got lots of unpacking to do, furniture to buy, and a lot of general “making a house a home” type things to get sorted, but this is the process I was hoping to write about, and so I’m definitely going to be able to revive my blog and finally write the content I had been longing to write!
So, with this post, I was just hoping to give you a little update and let you know where I’m at, and to tell you how excited I am that I’ll be able to get back into blogging with content at my fingertips.
I’d also like to say a little thank you for bearing with me and for the continued love on some of my older posts through the quiet period!
I’ll be back here so soon, but if you want to stay even more up to date with things, I did also make an Instagram account solely for house-related content. I’d love to see you there!
It’s good to be home.
I’d love to know what house-related content (or general content) you’d like to see on my blog! Please feel free to contact me on any of my social medias or leave a comment to let me know 🙂
