An Evening with The Body Shop

Recently, I attended a Blogger Event at The Body Shop Chichester.
It was a lovely evening, with drinks, vegan snacks supplied by Wagamamas, and the opportunity to chat to other bloggers and The Body Shop staff.

In the couple of hours I was there, I had a mooch around looking at their products, and I think you all know by now how much I lack self control, so I couldn’t resist buying some bits! We also got a lovely little goodie bag, and so I thought I’d best write a haul to share what I bought and what I received.

Goodie Bag
Inside the goodie bag were two face mask samples – one Jasmine Matcha Tea, and one Tea Tree 3-in-1. I love a good face mask, and I’ve never used one of The Body Shop’s, so I can’t wait to give one of these a go, and I’ll be letting my boyfriend use the other one!
The Peppermint Candy Cane hand cream was in the goodie bag too; I actually already have this from Christmas last year, so I’ll probably be gifting it as a Christmas present, but I absolutely love the scent and their hand creams, so it was a nice addition to the goodie bag.

When I was at The Body Shop, I briefly considered buying a bath bomb, but I didn’t as I have way too many at home already, however I was pleased to find an Owl bath bomb in the goodie bag, in the scent “Vanilla Marshmallow” which is one of my absolute favourite scents!
And finally, there was a sparkly lipstick in the shade ‘Scarlet Sunrise’, and I can’t tell you how excited I am to have this! I’ve wanted to try a sparkly lipstick for so long but I’ve always been worried I won’t like it – so now I’ve got the chance to give it a go.

Ginger Shampoo
I’m always looking for cruelty-free hair products to try, and I’d never tried one by The Body Shop before, so as I’m running low on shampoo I thought I’d pick it up! £7.50 is a little more than I’d usually spend on shampoo (£4-£5), but I figured it was a “special occasion”.

Almond Cuticle Oil
I love painting my nails, and I definitely want to start taking better care of my nails and cuticles, so although I picked this up on a whim, I’m really looking forward to using it!

Seaweed Balance Sheet Mask
My skin is so oily, and like I said before, I love a good face mask, so I opted for this one at just £3.50, which is good for mattifying and refreshing oily skin. The sheet mask itself is also biodegradable which is obviously great!

Round Body Brush
I’ve wanted to buy a body brush for a while now as they’re meant to have so many benefits for your skin and circulation. I love that this one is round and has a small handle, compared to the long-handled ones, as it’s much more convenient to keep in my bathroom on the shelf.

Facial Cleansing Sponge
Usually, I use my reusable cotton rounds to take off my makeup, but this sponge is also reusable and is much softer on my skin. It’s also fab for taking off face masks.

Japanese Cherry Blossom Deodorant
I recently bought a new deodorant and hated the smell of it so I’ve been desperate for a new one. I spent a lot of my time at the Blogger Event smelling all the body yogurts, perfumes, and shampoos, so when I saw this amongst the perfumes I fell in love with the scent and had to buy it to replace my current one.

Overall, I had such a nice time at the Blogger Event, and it was great to learn about the things they do in-store to support the local community (with their hygiene bank), and their plastic recycling scheme.
Make sure to find out what your local Body Shop does in their store, and show some support; they always work with great causes!
