Halloween Blog Post Ideas

Halloween is nearly upon us, which is so exciting!
   To prepare, I thought I’d suggest a list of blog post ideas for fellow Blogtober partakers or anyone who will be writing about the Halloween season, to give you that little bit of inspiration you may need.

1 – Halloween Lookbook
You could write about some Halloween costume ideas, outfits with subtle Halloween touches for the more casual Halloween party, or some Halloween-inspired makeup looks.

2 – How to do Halloween on a Budget
Share all your favourite tips for keeping the cost down this Halloween. You could share some of your Poundland / Charity Shop / Home Bargains finds for Halloween home decor, DIY Halloween decorations, or your favourite dupes for popular Halloween products.

3 – Pumpkin Fun
Write about your trip to the pumpkin patch, or share your best pumpkin carvings. Maybe share some new ways of decorating pumpkins such as painting them. 

4 – DIY
From decorations, to sweet treats and savoury snacks, Halloween costumes, and more – share your best DIY products for the Halloween season. 

5 – Movies & TV
Share your favourite things to watch throughout the Halloween season. Whether it’s horror movies, not-scary movies, true crime TV, or documentaries, put together a list and suggest all your favourites to your followers so they can enjoy them too.

6 – Halloween Recipes
Sweet or savoury, get together a list of your favourite Halloween recipes and write some step-by-steps on how to make them!

7 – How to Throw a Great Halloween Party
From choosing a theme, decorating, catering, playlists – whatever it may be. Share your best tips and ‘how to’s’ for throwing a spooktacular Halloween party.

8 – Halloween Activities 
Whether it’s Family-Friendly Halloween Fun, Halloween Date Ideas, or a Halloween-Activity Bucket List, share some of your favourite ways to spend the Halloween season, and give other people the inspiration for their own festivities!

9 – Travel-themed Halloween Posts
Recommend places to visit for Halloween, ‘Haunted Locations’, Horror Movie locations, Halloween traditions around the world, how your country celebrates Halloween, or anything else travel related that will give your followers the travel bug this Halloween.

10 –  Halloween Photography
If you’re into photography, put together a collection of your favourite Halloween or Autumnal photographs and create a photo collection.
